Finding God in the storm

You’re lost, confused, angry, depressed and hopeless. Maybe even faithless.

Everything has been against you and it feels like nothing is ever going your way. You’ve made mistakes and you’ve sinned. You’re in the darkest place in the room right now with no escape.

It feels like there is no way out.

Is that really true though?

Deep down, you still believe. You know that it’s all part of the process, it’s all part of God’s plan. That’s why you’re still holding onto Him.

You know all these but you just can’t seem to bring yourself to see the better perspective of things.

I must admit, it’s really hard to fix your eyes on God in times of trial because you’re overwhelmed by emotions and reactions. You will blame God for your situation. You don’t want to, but you will.

With the constant crying, thinking and overthinking, you just feel like giving up.

DON’T.

“If we are faithless, He remains faithful” (2 Timothy 2:13)

The more you hold on to God, the more you will see the situation in God’s eyes.

The more you hold on to God, the more you will find peace, comfort and strength.

Stop wallowing in tears but start listening to God’s voice. He speaks in mysterious ways, He speaks unexpectedly and He speaks accurately.

Voice your thoughts out to Him in prayer although He already knows. There is always time to talk to God and there is always restoration in prayer. But it is so important to remember that prayer is not always the answer to our problems. God is.

Sing praises to Him when you need to. In your most vulnerable, real and unfiltered self. Express your deepest feelings by worshiping Him and He will be there to hold your heart. This is the time to sing His praises louder, for there is nothing else to do but to sing of His greatness and His love.

“Let Go and Let God”

You need to trust God in this difficult season. Trust and know that whatever God has ordained, He will see it to the end. It’s easy to say “God, I surrender this to you” but your actions do not reflect the same. You can’t trust God and worry about the thing you’re trusting God for. Trust and let go, because the moment you release what’s in your hands is the moment you’re ready to receive something greater from God.

This season WILL pass. Fix your eyes on Him and His strength will carry you through.

You are not forgotten, you are not worthless, you are not unworthy of His love.

“May the God of hope fill you with all the joy and peace as you trust Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit” (Romans 15:13)

Hope in the Lord, for your breakthrough is coming.

Your breakthrough is coming.
